Modern Day Daniel Boone

Hear about the adventures of Al Willis, a lifelong Tennessee native who loves blazing new trails, be it thru his lifelong love of big huge Harleys, his equal love for little Vespas and his newfound passion for Pedego Electric Bikes.  Making this well traveled adventurer a little bit like a modern day Daniel Boone (at least in my mind).  Actively leading packs of people through the wilderness and off the beaten path. Thru his leadership role in a local Harley Owners Group, his current service as Treasurer of the national Vespa Club of America and now his enthusiastic role in the Official Pedego Owners Facebook Group.  Serving as a trailblazer for others to follow. CALIFORNIA DREAMING Art Exhibit at Markowicz Fine Art Gallery

Markowicz Fine Art has announced its spring exhibition showcase, “California Dreaming” featuring modern and contemporary artworks by acclaimed French sculptor and painter, Alain Godon.  Over twenty original artworks including mixed media, works on paper and sculptures, will be on display beginning April 9.

And we get to hear all about it from the owner of the gallery, Bernard Markowicz and the gallery manager, Paul Dahmen.  Learning why Bernard opened his 3rd location here in Laguna Niguel (along with Miami and Dallas) and what attracted him to showcase this famed French artist here.

There's plenty to hear about including the overall state of the OC Art Scene and a preview of a new piece commissioned just for this exhibit (built around an old Laguna landmark). Along with info on the opening night reception (and much more!)  On this week's OC SPOTLIGHT. Showcasing the most amazing people doing the most incredible things.

The Road Less Traveled

For many years, Kat Woirol had a great job with General Electric in Human Relations. "It was a great ride," she admits. "But after 25 years I was definitely looking for a different path to follow" All she knew was that in her next act, she wanted to work for herself. And was determined to quit commuting thru Atlanta's notorious traffic jams. 

She dreamed of riding a bike to work. So why not own an electric bike shop, in Atlanta itself? And that's what led her to Pedego. "We found a spot inside the beltline," she smiles. "In the heart of the city". Right next to one of the many "rails to trails" projects that are moving people off the highways and onto the forgotten byways. Allowing her to slow down a bit and build a business that speaks to her heart. While still allowing her the freedom to ride home and be there when her 8 year old kid's school bus arrives. 

Becoming a trailblazer (and an eBike entrepreneur) along the way. With everything she ever dreamed of (and more). All of which she gleefully shares on this week's PEDEGO PODCAST

Irish Eyes Are Smiling

Hear how Peggy Taylor from St. Louis found the proverbial pot o' gold at the end of her rainbow (in the shape of an eBike).  One year after her heart gave out and forced into a frightening heart transplant.  With two bad knees (and few prospects for every getting out in the world again). Until her Irish luck kicked in and led her to a Pedego electric bike store. Where (despite her fear) she found herself up and riding again.  And now can't stop pedaling. Racking up over 2500 miles in her first year since buying her eBike.  With a daily pace (weather permitting) of 30 miles/day.  A heartwarming tale about "Peg O' My Heart" on this special St. Patrick's Day edition of the Pedego Podcast.

Selling eBikes in Silicon Valley

Meet the entrepreneur selling eBikes in the heart of Silicon Valley, Jeff Scanlan, who opened Pedego Menlo Park (right across from Stanford University). Who after years in the area in various business development roles for hospital supplies, technology supply chain management services and even local and national non-profit organizations like the Leukemia Society decided to try a different path.  But one with a similar mission: to make an impact in his community by "delivering critical services to large segments of our country’s population, whose needs would otherwise go unmet."  One ride at a time (this time).
